Velammal College of Allied Health Sciences is a unit of Velammal Educational Trust. Our college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. We offer B. Sc. in Allied Health Sciences. After completing these courses, students will become competent and skilled technicians, with excellent job opportunities both in India and abroad.
Our college is located in the sprawling campus of Velammal Village, located in Anuppanadi, Madurai. We also offer in-campus hostel facilities at reasonable prices.
As a part of their clinical training, the students are posted into various clinical departments in the Velammal Medical College Hospital, both in the medical college wing as well as in the speciality wing, starting from their first year of study. Students will get clinical exposure in various technical aspects involved in patient care in varied settings such as Operation Theatre, Critical Care (ICUs), Emergency care, Trauma care, Dialysis care and Cardiology (including ECG, Echo, TMT, Cath labs), Medical Wards, surgical Wards, ENT, Ophthamology Department, CT Scans, MRI, X-ray ,Sleep Lab, Pulmonary Function Lab depending on the course of study of the student.
