Eligibility for Admission
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc Degree course in Nursing (Basic)should have passed the qualifying examinations(Academic Stream) after period of 12 years of study with the following subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology.
Every candidates before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the Institution a certificate of medical fitness from authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.
The minimum educational requirements shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination(12 Year Course)
(Or)
Senior School Certificate Examination (10 + 2),pre-degree Examinations (10 + 2)
(Or)
An equivalent with 12 Years Schooling from a Recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)and English with minimum 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).
A Candidate should have completed the age of 17 Years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the B.Sc (Nursing) degree course
NRI Status of financial supporting issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal. Certificate of relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter
Original and copies of passport and visa of the candidate.
Non – Resident External (NRE) Bank Account Pass Book of the Financial Supporter.
The Candidate who has passed any qualifying examinations other then the Higher Secondary Course Examinations conducted by the government of Tamilnadu before seeking admission should obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University – Chennai by remitting the prescribed fee along with application form which shall be downloaded from the university websitehttps://www.tnmgrmu.ac.in
The Candidates seeking admission for the course with prescribed qualification shall submit the duly filled – in application to the admission office copies of certificates on or before the stipulated time.
